Our doors are open. Come be our guest!
The Simmons House Historic Venue & Inn is a luxurious wedding and event venue steeped in a rich history. It is located in Water Valley, Mississippi, just a short drive from Oxford, Grenada, Tupelo, and Memphis. The home was built in 1871 by Dr. William and Charlotte Simmons. For three years, Jerri Anne and Gil Davis meticulously restored the home to its former splendor. No detail was overlooked as care was given to honor the rich history of the property in every element of the design. Some of the original furnishings have even been incorporated, bringing an authenticity to the venue that is unmatched.

Honor the history.
The venue is named after the original owner, Dr. William Simmons, who completed construction in 1871. Dr. Simmons has been credited as one of the pioneers of Water Valley, and we wanted to honor the history of his contributions through the restoration of this home to its once-magnificent glory. Throughout the lengthy restoration process, former owners came to us with stories of evenings together on the side porch and the meticulously maintained gardens that used to exist out back.
